Rules
Non league players (not played ENL/EPL etc during 09/10 season) can be registered up until before the playoffs and must play at least one league game to be eligable for the playoffs. League players signed after 31st January 2010 will not be eligable for the competition this season.
Players who are registered with more than one club must only appear on one team list, their first registered team.
If no officials show for the game although it has been sanctioned with the EIHA a player from each team will officiate and the result will stand.
If either team fails to show for the game the offending team will forfeit 10-0. The offending team will also be responsible for costs under EIHA recreational rules, no further fixtures will be granted by Tony Wood until payment is made.
If any players play for a team, who are not registered on the EIHA website the offending team will forfeit 10-0.
If a team walks off the ice during the game will forfeit 10-0 (unless the score is already greater) and disciplined by the EIHA recreational section.
All Games
1 Groups of 6 teams.
Games are to be played home and away.
Games must be played 3 x 20 minute periods.
If tied after 3 periods an extra 5 minutes sudden death overtime period 4 on 4, (unless either team is short handed already) first goal wins extra point.
If still tied, 3 penalty shots each.
If still tied sudden death penalty shots (even amount)
Scoring
2 points for a win
2 points for an overtime win
2 points for a penalty shoot out win
1 point for overtime loss
1 point for a penalty shoot out loss
0 points for a loss
Standings
If tied on points in your group.
1 – Most wins.
2 – Goal Difference.
3 - Goals Scored.
4 – Least penalties
5- Least misconduct penalties
Result Procedure
1) After the game text the result to the Mike Roddy along with the names of any players who received MATCH penalties (if any).
2) Within 3 days of the game please either e-mail a scan of the gamesheet or send via fax. (Details sent via e-mail)
Penalties and Suspensions
Any player playing whilst under suspension his team will forfeit the game he is suspended from and deducted a further 2 points. The player will miss all his teams remaining games.
Match penalty miss at least the next game awaiting report from referee or referee chief and determined by EIHA recreational disciplinary. Any player assessed a match penalty during a Summer Cup game MUST miss at least one Summer Cup game.
Play offs
Saturday 4th September 2010 at Ice Sheffield.
Top 4 teams from the group stage qualigy for the play offs. Team will forfeit place in playoff finals if games are cancelled without a valid reason (not enough players available is not a good reason)
2 semi-final games.
2 semi-final games losers to play for Plate trophy.
2 semi-final winners to play for Summer Cup play off trophy.
